Georgia Bar Terminates Gbajabiamila’s Law License For Not Paying Dues

Former Nigerian House Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila has been terminated as a licensed lawyer of the State Bar of Georgia in the United States after failing to pay his license fees.

The Nigerian politician currently serves as the chief of staff to President Bola Tinubu.

According to information from the State Bar of Georgia, if a member is delinquent in license fees payment for greater than 5 consecutive bar years; the membership is automatically terminated and member will be required to take bar exam before being eligible to practice law in Georgia again.

“Terminated members are not eligible to practice law in Georgia. Member is not eligible for reciprocity,” the State Bar of Georgia, said on its website.

Mr Gbajabiamila had been a member of the Georgia bar since June, 2001.
