The online reputation of popular influencer, who gained popularity by sharing medical tips, Asexual Doctor (@Choji_Es), has come under fire after a series of explosive allegations of fraud were made public on X.
The controversy was triggered by Dr Ajidahun Olusina, widely known as The Bearded Dr Sina (@the_beardedsina), who accused Asexual Doctor of running multiple scams within the platform’s community.
In a thread that quickly went viral, Dr Sina described him as “a scammer, con artist and fraudster” who had perfected the act of exploiting trust.
He revealed that victims had approached him privately, narrating how they were duped out of large sums of money.
“People kept sending me receipts,” Dr Sina wrote. “It was the same story—he would gain trust, spin a tale of need, and once the money was sent, he disappeared.”
Adding weight to the claims, another influencer, Agba John Doe (@jon_d_doe), shared his own account.
He said a victim contacted him with a complaint of being defrauded of ₦1 million by Asexual Doctor.
“I chatted with him, and he accepted,” John Doe disclosed. “Then I advised him to return the money. He didn’t get back to me. Today, I got a similar report from another victim.”
As the accusations piled up, Asexual Doctor appeared to partly admit wrongdoing.
In a now widely circulated post, he wrote, “Wounded, and instead of hiding the scar, I choose to own it. I take full responsibility in humility and regret… I failed but I am already working to refund and make things right.”
The scandal has split opinion on X. While some users expressed sympathy, urging him to seek help if the alleged scams were tied to deeper personal struggles, others demanded accountability and even legal action.
For now, the allegations continue to dominate discussions online, with many waiting to see if Asexual Doctor follows through on his promise to refund victims.
