The Nigeria Police has enhanced community policing for intelligent gathering to address increasing crime and criminality particularly in Kaduna and Katsina States.
Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of the two States , Ahmad Abdulraham stated this while on a working visit to the Kaduna State Police Command recently.
He said the arrest of about four hundred phone snatchers including street urchins two weeks ago, showed the commitment of the Police to curtailing the menace.
Ahmad Abdulrahaman emphasized that the force in the zone has received instructions from the force headquarters , and was fully prepared for smooth transition of power to the incoming administration.
He advised all the principal officers to be vigilant and proactive in carrying out their respective duties to get the country free of crime and maintain the best position in police ranking globally.
Earlier, the State Commissioner of Police, Musa Yusuf Garba appreciated the AIG for the visit and sharing his wealth of experience with the Officers at the State command.
