The immediate past chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) Taraba state chapter, Hon. Dr. Bala S. Bako has lauded the deliberate developmental strides of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku to create jobs and reduce poverty in the State.

Bako who is also the immediate past chairman of Ibi local government area of the state gave the commendation in an exclusive interview with MoneyCentral correspondent.

According to him, the prompt payment of salaries, recruitment of many qualified school teachers, procurement of fertilizers and other agricultural inputs for farmers as well as the Green House Project among other projects initiated by the Governor were clear indications of good governance which deserve commendation.

He said “the governor has promoted good governance and improved the security situation which can fast track development in all facets of human life and these indices are very much on ground in the State from physical infrastructure to skills training which the administration has given the growing population of Taraba state.”

He noted that because of the giant strides the administration of Governor Darius Ishaku has made in creating jobs and reducing poverty, the people of southern Taraba have in one voice asked the governor to represent them in the Senate come 2023 as a sign of appreciation.

The chairman called on the people of the State irrespective of party differences to support the Governor who he said is doing his best to reposition the State for the good of all. On his experience as both ALGON and Ibi local government chairman, Bako said he will leave to appreciate the people of Ibi for the opportunity to serve them.

Similarly, he appreciated governor Ishaku whom he described as a father for the support he gave the local government while he was the chairman and promised to mobilize his people to support Ishaku’s Senatorial ambition just as he promised to mobilize support for the governorship candidate as well as other PDP candidates.

He appealed to aggrieved PDP members who did not win the party primaries in the state to put behind their grievances and work for the success of the party in the 2023 general elections for the overall benefit of the state.
