The All Progressives Congress , APC in Kebbi State on Monday received prominent politicians who decamped from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP to the APC .
The former Auditor General of the party, Alhaji Rabiu Saidu with the former Secretary of the Caretaker Committee of the party, Alhaji Sirajo Ibrahim and fifteen other PDP executives from Bubuce ward were received by the top APC official.
Other decampees are: the Augie Local Government APC Chairman, Alhaji Bashir Isah Mera, Lawal Muhammad Yola, Chairman Augie Local Government Area, Alhaji Haruna Maitandu, Chairman Pilgrims Welfare Agency and the former Chairman Direct Labour Agency, Alhaji Bello Dantani and Magaji Rafin Kabi.
Speaking shortly after making their declaration to join the ruling APC,
the former Auditor General of the party, Alhaji Rabiu Saidu attributed his defection to the APC to the sterling leadership qualities of Governor Atiku Bagudu.
He also denounced his membership of PDP due to what he termed as injustice and infringement of their rights in the party.
Alhaji Saidu thanked Magajin Rafin Kabi , Alhaji Bello Dantani for being instrumental to his defection to APC along with all his followers.
Sirajo Ibrahim Augie, a one time caretaker Secretary of PDP said he was impressed with the roads infrastructure constructed in Augie Local Government under the leadership of Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu .
