APC To Name Ex-Kano Gov. Ganduje National Chairman

The former governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has been tipped as the new national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

APC settled for Ganduje after three incumbent governors elected on the platform of the ruling party met with President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday night.

The governors were Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, who is the chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), and Dapo Abiodun (Ogun).

Recalled that the APC Deputy National Chairman (North), Sen. Abubakar Kyari, on Monday, July 17, 2023, took over the control of the ruling party as acting national chairman.

The development followed the forced resignation of Senator Abdullahi Adamu as the APC National Chairman.

The party’s national secretary, Iyiola Omisore, a former deputy governor of Osun State, also resigned from his position.
