Elections: PDP Calls for Synergy Among Opposition Parties in Kaduna

Ahead of the gubernatorial elections slated for 11th March, 2023, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Kaduna state chapter, has called on other opposition political parties in the state to close ranks in order to wrest power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

This followed the success recorded by the party at the polls, winning 14 Local Government Areas with 554, 360 votes, against 399,293 votes scored by APC.

The Chairman of the leading opposition party; PDP, Hassan Hyet, disclosed this while addressing pressmen at the party’s secretariat on Wednesday in Kaduna.

While appreciating the people of Kaduna state for the massive support shown by the electorate during the just concluded presidential and national assembly elections across the 23 Local Government Areas, Hyet urged them to keep the spirit flying.

According to him, the defeat suffered by the ruling APC in the state was a sign of total rejection of the APC led government in Kaduna by the good people of the state.

PDP Chairman urged the people not to relent in their determination, and repeat the same by voting massively for PDP in the forthcoming gubernatorial and state assembly elections.

“I want to thank the good people of Kaduna state for coming out en-mass to vote for PDP. I am proud to say that the influence and confidence of the people of Kaduna state was clearly demonstrated through the outcome of the elections.

“For the first time in the history, PDP clinched the three senatorial seats, and 10 out of the 16 federal constituencies in the state. More to that, in 2019 general elections, PDP produced the highest number of votes for our presidential candidate, and the same was repeated in the just concluded elections,” PDP Chairman averred.

Hyet further explained that PDP in the state is working very hard to maintain the lead and win at the coming elections.
