The Nigerian Equities Market will seek to extend its robust bull run for a sixth consecutive week, after the NGX-ASI gained +2.37% last week to close at 146,988.04 points, pushing the year-to-date (YtD) gains to an impressive +42.81%.

Sectoral performance was uniformly positive, with most sectors closing in the green.

The NGX Industrial Goods Index was the top performer last week up by +4.23%Week-on-Week (WoW), fueled by strong buying interest in CUTIX (+11.11%WoW) and DANGCEM (+3.50% WoW).

The NGX Insurance Index followed closely, advancing +3.69% on momentum from MANSARD (+11.81%WoW).

Analysts say with threat of renewed US-China trade war, bears could come out of hibernation as some investors may seek to take profit this week.
