AC Milan Names Konami as New Kit Sponsor

Serie A league leader AC Milan has announced a partnership with game developer Konami which sees the latter become Rossoneri’s official training wear partner.

Active from July 1, 2022, the partnership ensures Konami’s place as one of the club’s principal partners, while the company ‘e-football’ game logo will feature on the front of AC Milan’s training kit ahead of the 2022/23 season.

The training kit featuring the e-football logo will be on show at every one of the AC Milan’s training sessions, as well as before each fixture in domestic and international competitions.

Naoki Morita, Konami Digital Entertainment B.V.’s European President, commented: “Konami are very excited to be working with AC Milan once again. Becoming a Principal Partner of one of the biggest football clubs in Europe and also putting our brand on their training kit is an incredible opportunity. We are looking forward to working with the Club and creating an innovative partnership together.”

Milan’s new training kit will be revealed ‘in the coming months, as well as further details about the partnership with regards to the two brands’ combination of physical and digital presence.

Both AC Milan and Konami have a considerable global appeal and according to the companies, the partnership can ‘“strengthen their common status as entertainment powerhouses”.

Konami previously acted as a global partner of the 18-time Scudetto champions from 2017.

Casper Stylsvig, AC Milan’s Chief Revenue Officer, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Konami back into the AC Milan family as one of our Principal Partners and our very first Training Wear Partner for the men’s team. We are very excited about the potential that this partnership offers us both as a Club and a brand to break new ground together.”
