Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have open talks with Juventus for the signing of Dutch centre-back Matthijs de Ligt.

Juventus have been in talks with Chelsea regarding the 22-year-old for some weeks now, making it clear that a deal will not come cheap. The funds generated by the sale of De Ligt would be immediately reinvested into the squad, so a decisive offer is needed.

Bayern have been in contact with Juventus to discuss a move for De Ligt and things have started positively. The Dutch defender has already spoken with Julian Nagelsmann and sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić and he was left feeling very impressed.

De Ligt won’t come cheap; reports suggest he could cost around €60m to €80m, but the release clause in his contract is over €100m, so Juventus could play tough in negotiations.
