BREAKING: Liverpool beat Chelsea on penalties to lift Carabao Cup

Premier League heavyweights, Liverpool and Chelsea faced each other in the final of this year’s Carabao Cup at the prestigious Wembley Stadium.

Liverpool had a goal disallowed in the 67th minute after Dutch defender, Virgil van Dijk was adjudged to be offside after a VAR review

The match remained deadlocked at the end of 120 minutes and had to go into spot-kicks. Liverpool eventually won the keenly contested game 11-10 on Penalty.
