Titleholders Chelsea are up against 13-time winners of the UEFA Champions League Real Madrid as Europe’s elite football competition makes a return this week for the quarter-final stage.

Chelsea and Real Madrid will be meeting for the second time in consecutive seasons with the reigning champions knocking out the Los Blancos their last time out. Thomas Tuchel’s side brushed past Real Madrid in last season’s semi-finals matches; putting two past their opponents at home and edging out a one-all draw at the Santiago Bernabeu. The champions of Europe will be hoping lightning strikes twice as they welcome Carlo Ancelotti’s side to the Bridge on Wednesday 6th, April 2022 by 9pm.

In the first quarter-finals games this week, Manchester City would test the mettle of Athletico Madrid when they meet at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester. Pep Guardiola will be hoping his English side can get the better of their Spanish opposition given the men from Spain just knocked out their noisy neighbours only a few weeks ago. Bayern will square up against Villareal for a place in the last four and Liverpool will travel to Portugal to face Benfica as things continue to heat up in the build-up to the UCL final at the Stade de France on May 28, 2022.

Adding to the excitement of this season’s UEFA Champions League, the world’s most renowned lager Heineken, has teased that a UEFA Champions League Legend will be visiting the country as part of the UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour. In a social media post last week, the brand announced the return of the Heineken UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour. The Trophy Tour by Heineken has become a popular tradition, amplifying the events around the UCL here in Nigeria and allowing fans to connect with their favourite football legends.

This year’s Heineken UCL #Cheerstoallfans campaign has already travelled to Port Harcourt and Asaba rewarding fans with premium match viewing experiences, amazing musical performances and awesome gifts along the way.
