Manchester United Make progress in Jadon Sancho Deal- Report

Jadon Sancho

Manchester United have reportedly made progress in talks over agents fees and personal terms with Jadon Sancho as the club continue to push for a deal for the Borussia Dortmund winger

United have made Sancho their top target during this transfer window but had so far been frustrated in their attempts to sign the England international.

However according to Manchestereveningnews, progress has been made this week over issues that were previously considered to be a stumbling block, leading to renewed hope that a deal can be struck before the transfer window closes on October 5.

While there has been progress over terms with Sancho and his intermediaries, United still need to strike a deal with Dortmund and they remain adamant they will not overpay for the 20-year-old.

Dortmund have remained firm with their public stance that Sancho will not be sold for less than their £108milliion asking price, but United’s stance is that such fees are unrealistic in a transfer window affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The manchester news outlet claim that United will continue to hold discussions with Dortmund over a deal but will walk away and pursue alternative targets if a deal can’t be struck with the Bundesliga outfit.

They have been linked with loan moves for Douglas Costa at Juventus, Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman and Barcelona wide man Ousmane Dembele if they can’t land Sancho.

United confirmed their first signing of the summer last week, the £35million addition of Donny van de Beek from Ajax, and they remain determined to add to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad between now and October 5.
