Nigeria and Ghana will represent the African continent at the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup 2022 in Costa Rica.
This follows the completion of the knockout stage of the qualification process this week.
CAF congratulates both Nigeria and Ghana and wishes both teams good luck in Costa Rica.
FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup 2022 will take place from August 10 to 28, 2022 in Costa Rica.
No African team has won this competition before.
Nigeria and Ghana are no strangers to the tournament: Nigeria will be making an impressive 10th appearance at the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup while Ghana will be on their sixth consecutive qualification.
The competition will feature 16 teams divided into four groups. The matches will be played in two cities: San José and Alajuela.
The draw for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup 2022 is scheduled in San José on 05 May 2022.
