Adeyemi is not feeling any pressure ahead of his move but is rather looking forward to making his impact in the German Bundesliga. During his press conference with RB Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund, Adeyemi said:

“I will try to bring my style to the team and look to help the team. I have no pressure, but I’m rather looking forward to it.”

Adeyemi will have an important role to play in the Borussia Dortmund attack starting from next season. Some claim that the Nigerian young lad could replace the departing Erling Haaland upfront for the Black and Yellows.

But BVB bosses view Adeyemi more as a replacement for Jadon Sancho than Haaland. And they are planning to bring in a natural number nine to replace the Norwegian international.

Adeyemi does not want to be compared to Haaland either, and he believes that they are two completely different types of players.

“It’s similar to how I got into the first team in Salzburg as well. Coincidentally, it was Erling Haaland again, so people think that I’m his successor – but I want to rule that out because I’m a completely different type of player. You can’t compare the two of us.”

Borussia Dortmund beat out competition from severalof other big clubs to complete the signing of Adeyemi. The Nigerian youngster says that he is moving to Dortmund with a good feeling, especially after holding talks with head coach Marco Rose.

“I talked to Marco Rose. We had an open conversation. He was very keen to have me in Dortmund. That’s why I’m going to BVB with a good feeling.”

Adeyemi also feels that his game can improve in several areas, and he wants to continue to develop in the coming years.

Adeyemi had been linked with United before his move to Borussia Dortmund. The Bundesliga club acted quickly to find a replacement for Erling Haaland, with the Norwegian set to complete his move to Manchester City.

At 20, Adeyemi will be a player to look out for in the future and will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Haaland by continuing his progress at Dortmund.
