Paul Pogba Could Miss World Cup With Injury After United Exit

Paul Pogba could miss the World Cup in Qatar after picking up a knee injury in training with Juventus, reports suggest via Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Frenchman left Old Trafford under a grey cloud for a second time this summer when his contract expired.

The 29-year-old was seen limping out of a training session in Los Angeles during Juve’s pre-season tour. Much to Pogba’s displeasure, scans later revealed he had suffered a torn meniscus and surgery may be required.

He has since returned to Turin to see a specialist.

The report claims Pogba has two options. One would see part of the meniscus removed, which could rule Juventus’ new signing out for up to two months. The second would be to stitch the tear and could potentially see him out of action for up to five months.

This will possibly come down to whatever advice is recommended by the specialists.
