PSG Send Icardi Packing

PSG send Icardi packing

Mauro Icardi

French Ligue one Champions Paris Saint-Germain has told Mauro Icardi to pack his bags and leave the club after failing to impress.

The 29-year-old Argentinian forward has not had a good time with PSG following his move from Inter Milan in July 2020. He has scored 38 goals in 92 appearances and has failed to replicate the quality and eye for goal shown during his years with the Nerazzurri.

According to France Bleu Paris, Icardi and his entourage have been informed by PSG that he must find a new club in the summer as he no longer features in their plans for the future.

The Argentine has been linked with a return to Serie A on several occasions over the last few months, with clubs like AC Milan and Juventus both reportedly interested in bringing him back to the Italian League. A return to Serie A could therefore be on the cards.

This season, Icardi has made 30 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 1307 minutes, scoring only 5 goals, with the last coming in a 1-1 draw with Lorient back in December 2021.
