Saraki Pledges to End Insecurity, if Elected President

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki, and a one time governor of Kwara state, has solicited the support of the Plateau PDP delegates to became Presidential candidate, and subsequently be made President of Nigeria to end insecurity in the country.

Saraki said if given the opportunity to rule Nigeria, he will run a team work policy, where all stakeholders shall fully participate in governance.

Saraki stated this at the PDP Secretariat in Jos, Plateau state, when he visited the party office seeking understanding of the national delegates from the state to vote for him during party primaries.

Dr. Saraki noted with regret the continuous loss of lives of citizens due to unabated insecurities was uncalled for.

The former Senate President blamed the increasing insecurities on inability of the present not to curtail the incessant killings.

Speaking earlier, Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau state Chris Hassan has said the 19 northern states chapter of the party have endorsed the candidature of Dr Bukola Saraki to contest Presidency.

According to the Plateau PDP Chairman, the endorsement of Dr. Saraki, was nod by stakeholders of the PDP from the north central, he revealed that the decision took place in Abuja.

The Plateau PDP Chairman said the consensus on the person of Saraki was done as a means to provide a credible and qualified aspirant from the north central geopolitical zone to also rule Nigeria in the capacity of President.
