Zenith Bank Plc, Nigeria’s second-largest lender by valuation, has announced a temporary delay in the public release of its interim audited financial statements for the half-year period ended June 30, 2026.
In a regulatory disclosure filed with the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) on August 18, 2026, Company Secretary Michael Osilama Otu confirmed that while the bank’s Board of Directors approved the audited statements on July 29, 2026, mandatory statutory sign-off from its primary regulator—the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)—remains pending.
Zenith Bank says it is hopeful that the Half-Year Audited Financial Statement will be released on or before 9 October 2026.
“We are however optimistic that the reports will be submitted to NGX and the investing public before the approved date by NGX,” the bank said in the statement.
