OPay, a fintech platform operating in markets including Nigeria, Indonesia, Egypt and Pakistan, reported a $72.47 million net profit for the 2025 financial year.
The audited statements, included in an investment document for a planned initial public offering, show a reversal from the $50.98 million loss recorded during the previous period. Revenue increased by 161 percent to reach $536.25 million.
The financial data details improvements across multiple business metrics. Operating income shifted from a $35.1 million deficit in 2024 to a $107.1 million profit.
The company reported a non-GAAP EBITDA profit of $113.2 million, following a $33.6 million loss the prior year. Operating cash flow nearly tripled to $152.2 million. The enterprise finished the year holding $274.3 million in cash, which represents a 162 percent increase.
Customer activity expanded alongside the financial returns. Monthly active users experienced a 57 percent growth to reach 39.3 million. Gross transaction value hit $358 billion, a 115 percent rise from the preceding year. The platform originated $938.3 million in new loans, marking a 285 percent increase. The volume of quarterly unique borrowers in Nigeria more than doubled to reach 4.6 million people.
Nigeria remains the primary source of business for the application. The West African nation generated 88.1 percent of the total revenue in 2025. By March 2026, approximately 70 percent of Nigerian monthly active wallet users engaged with more than five products within the ecosystem. The usage metrics indicate an expansion from basic payment processing into additional digital financial services.
Reports from May 2026 indicated the technology provider was preparing for a United States initial public offering with a target valuation of four billion dollars. JPMorgan, Citi and Deutsche Bank, three financial institutions that manage capital market transactions, are participating in the preparations for the stock offering.
