Nigeria needs to drive innovation as well as partnerships between banks and Telco’s to improve financial inclusion in the country.
Actual innovation, Partnerships, building and enabling ecosystem for financial inclusion and developing a strong talent pool is required for a country to improve its financial inclusion numbers, according to Ashley Immanuel, former CEO of EFINA.
Immanuel who was speaking at the annual MoneyCentral Money Summit, said an organisation’s culture is also vital.
“Culture has to allow for innovation to happen. If our culture doesn’t allow them to introduce their ideas, or respectfully disagree with their boss, innovation will not happen,” Immanuel said.
