Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc has posted record profit for 2025 and the lender rewarded its shareholders with a bumper dividend.
For the year ended December 2025, Stanbic IBTC saw its profit after tax (PAT) spike by 69 percent to N380.79 billion from N225.31 billion.
Gross earnings were up 37.41 percent to N1.13 trillion in the period under review from N823.30 billion as at December 2024.
Despite the gradual lower interest rate environment, net interest income was up 42.52 percent to N585 billion at December 2025.
This stellar performance amid the disappearance of foreign exchange gains paved the way for the lender to reward its owners from distributable profit as the market expects a slightly higher rally in share price.
The directors of Stanbic IBTC have approved a final dividend of N4.00 (Four Naira) per ordinary share of 50 kobo each, that is, N63,607,076,984.00, subject to deduction of appropriate withholding tax and approval, will be paid to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as at the close of business on Monday 04 May 2026.
This is in addition to the Interim Dividend of N2.50 paid in September 2025, thus bringing the total dividend to N6.50k.
