United Capital Group, a leading Pan-African investment bank and financial services group, has entered 2026 with strong momentum as it recorded an impressive earnings growth even amid a challenging macroeconomic environment.

For the first six months through June 2026, United Capital’s profit after tax (PAT) surged by 77.52 percent to N21.09 billion from N11.88 billion as at June 2025, as the big investment house continues to build a financial services group that can deploy, manage and utilize capital in a manner that empowers Africans everywhere.

The company’s earnings growth was largely driven by all its business segments as all seven subsidiaries remained profitable and pivotal to the Group’s survival. The subsidiaries are: Asset Management, Trusteeship, Securities, Investment Banking, Wealth Management, Microfinance Banking, and Consumer Finance.

Gross earnings spiked by 57.78 percent to N37.49 billion in June 2026 from N23.76 billion as at June 2025.

A breakdown of the revenue figure shows net investment income rose by 44.60 percent to N13.81 billion in the period under review from N9.55 billion as at June 2025. Fee and commission income was up 25.83 percent to N14.27 billion in the period under review from N11.34 billion the previous year. Also, net trading income increased by 1,082 percent N4.96 billion in the first six months of 2026.

The investment house’s ability to remain profitable and deliver shareholders’ value in the form of consistent dividend payment and maintain operational efficiency amid inflationary pressures, foreign currency volatility, and regulatory headwinds makes the company a stock that every investor should add to their portfolio as it guarantees steady returns.
