FBN Holdings has reported a 231% surge in after-tax Profit in the six-months period to June 2023, as fair value gains in its financial instruments surged.
Profit for the period from continuing operations came in at N187.23 billion, compared to N56.6 billion, a year ago.
Net gains from financial instruments surged by a massive 1,938% in the period to N229.7billion, from N11.27 billion in June 2022.
The tier-one financial reported interest income of N383.2 billion for the period, up 69% from a year earlier.
Fee and commission income came in at N88.85 billion, up 25.2% from a year earlier.
