Nigerian defense technology startup Terra Industries has completed a $52 million seed funding round, boosted by a recent $18 million extension from global venture capital firms including 8VC, Silent Ventures, and Norleo Space Investments.
Founded in 2024, the Abuja-headquartered company manufactures autonomous aerial drones designed to protect critical energy, utility, and transportation infrastructure across Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Gulf region from illegal extraction, sabotage, and security threats.
The company will maintain its primary manufacturing hubs in Abuja, Nigeria, and Accra, Ghana, while opening a new corporate office in London to recruit artificial intelligence engineering talent and pursue international defense procurement contracts.
