The 27th Nigerian Economic Summit opens today, with the Chairman of the NESG, Mr. Asue Ighodalo presenting the opening remarks, highlighting the power of the people and the capability of the government when stakeholders partner effectively to lead initiatives.
He noted that the world was surprised at the way the government managed the COVID-19 pandemic and the impressive progress of Nigerian youths in leveraging technology to change the world, with 3 of Africa’s recent Unicorns originating from Nigeria.
The President is being represented by the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo at the summit, while his Excellency, Hailemariam Desalegn Bosche, Former Prime Minister of Ethiopia would be giving the Keynote Address.
Others present and making speeches at the summit include: The Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Dr. Aisha Shamsuna Usman, The Governor of Kaduna State Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, The Honorable Minister of State, Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Agba, the Governor of Nasarawa State and the Governor of Kebbi State/Chairman Progressive Governors.
