Ahead of the 2023 general elections, Arewa Solidarity Group, has reiterated its support to ensure the return of the Zamfara state Governor, Bello Matawalle to power in the forthcoming election.
According to the leader of the group, the decision of the group to support Matawalle was borne out of the fact that the governor is working towards ensuring that the state is moving gradually to an enviable position.
This was contained in a statement signed by the leader of the group, Isa Ahmed and made available to newsmen in Kaduna at the weekend.
The group explained in the statement that Governor Matawalle’s efforts in the education sector has moved Zamfara state to higher rank in the National Common Entrance Examination, especially in the northern region.
“The decision of Governor Bello Matawalle to pay special attention to education is a welcome development. This is no doubt that the Governor’s effort is already shaping the future of the state and her citizenry,” Ahmed stated in the statement.
He further explained that despite the slim resources to the state, the Governor has proven to be a trusted and prudent leader.
The group, however, assured the Zamfara state Governor of its plan to embark on door-to-door mobilization of women and youths of the state in the coming 2023 election.
