2023 HAJJ: NAHCON To Commence Early Planning For Itch-free Operations – Authority

The authority of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), has disclosed its readiness to commence early planning ahead of the 2023 Hajj exercise for itch-free exercise.

The Commission who expressed disatisfaction over the unforeseen hiccups such as the IBAN issue that affected some Tour Operators in the just concluded hajj exercise explained that prequalification of airlines will commence soon.

This contained in a statement issued by the AD, Public Affairs of NAHCON, Fatima Sanda Usara, where she also explained that the Commission would ensure that any contractual agreement signed is fulfilled as agreed to aid smooth operation of the coming hajj exercise.

In the statement made available to newsmen on Sunday, the Commission explained that the last flight is coming six days ahead of deadline of Hajj airlift as set by the Saudi authorities.

“Nigeria’s last flight for 2022 Haj; an Azman Air with 319 pilgrims from Kaduna and Kano and officials from the various states and NAHCON departed King Abdul Aziz International Airport Jeddah, today 7th August 2023 at about 12: 00 pm,” the statement disclosed.

The Commission however admitted that there were challenges during the outbound trip from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia, resulting from time constraint amongst other notable challenges.
