The Adamawa Chief Security Officer, RT Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Wednesday, summoned a security emergency meeting over Tuesday’s clash between the military and police officers that raised tension in the state.

Addressing newsmen after the meeting in the Government House, the Governor said an investigation into the matter was ongoing with a view to ensuring peace and justice.

The State Chief Security Officer said the meeting has resolved the conflict and that the security chiefs have vowed to work in synergy for the best interest of the state, the citizenry and the country.

Governor Fintiri lamented that both the military and police recorded a death casualty each during the Tuesday night clash, where he called for restraint and prayed against repeat of such unfortunate incidents.

In attendance at the meeting with State’s Chief Security Officer were the Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, the Brigade Commander 23 Armored Brigade Yola, Adamawa State Commissioner of Police and other senior government officials.
