In Nasarawa state the out going Police commissioner CP, AIG. Bola Longe has handed over the leadership of the state command to the newly deployed CP, Adesina Musbau.
The valedictory section which took place at the Nasarawa state police command Lafia, where 55 suspects arrested from various degree of offences in the state were paraded.
During the exercise, the out going Cp Longe, explained that the major problem that confronted the state recently was kidnapped of innocent persons which the command during his watch has formugated and castigated the menace to the bearest minimum which is why the state has witnessed a slow space of criminality presently.
He highlighted some of his major achievements in the last one month to includes the arrest of 46 members of cultism and recovered 2 axes, 6 internet fraudsters with 22 laptops recovered, 2 notorious drugs Barons, Abubakar and Mohammed Tanko in Keffi LGA,of the state and recovered 38 bags of substance suspected to be Indian hemp and a vehicle snatcher of Honda CRV, black colour registration Number YAB 458 DC stolen from Ajaokuta, Kogi state.
AIG. Longe who appreciated the wonderful support and cooperation of the populace during his tenure as CP in the state expressed his profound gratitude to the governor of the state Engr. Abdullahi Sule to have contributed in no small measure to the success of the various security templates deployed by the police command as attested to the relative peace being enjoyed in the state.
He therefore called on key players in the state to cooperate with the new CP to enable him achieve his mission in the state.
Speaking earlier, the new Cp Adesina Musbau, who solicited for support from the appropriate quarters to enable him build on the existing platform also called on the good people of the state to come forward and give the police information so that they can be able to deliver.
Accordingly, the new Cp warned officers of the command to do their work according to specifications and devoid of corruption practices that any one caught will be severely punished as their is no exception.
