The approval by the Kwara state government to pay all the debts owed to the Kwara United Football Club, has received commendation by the Arewa Solidarity Group.
The group who expressed its hapiness explained that the approval by the AbdulRasaq AbdulRahman led administration to settle the outstanding bills that were accumulated in the cause of the team’s league matches prosecution is commendable.
These contained in a statement signed by the Chairman of the group, Isa Ahmed, on Saturday and made available to journalists.
In the statement, the Chairman of the group described Gov. AbdulRasaq as a sports lover whose interest in the grassroots sports development is an initiative for talents hunt in the state.
” The gesture is an added motivation and a morale booster for the players and the officials of the team to secure their continental ticket.
” As a group, it has become neccessary to thumb up for the Governor for the show of love for sports, owing to the fact that sport is a unifying factor,” the group explained.
The group therefore urged the players of the Kwara United Football Club and its officials to reciprocate the gesture by a way of securing the continental ticket.
