Arewa Solidarity Group; a northern socio – economic group, has disclosed that Kwara state government is committed to unearthing socio-economic potential of rural and urban communities across the state.

The group, during a press conference in Kaduna on Thursday said that the commitment of the AbdulRazaq’s administration is already making the life of Kwarans better.

While speaking, the leader of the group, Isa Muhammad commended Gov. AbdulRazaq on Yebumot-AlHikmah University-Adeta Round about- Oloje Road, which according to the group is a very important commercial road in Ilorin.

The group further explained that according to an official document by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Kwara is one of the leading subnationals that contributed massively to the return of rice pyramid in Nigeria.

The state was said to have produced 62,332 metric tons of rice paddy during the dry season and 40,000 metric tons during the wet season, making a total of 102,332 metric tons.

The group described this as huge, commending the state and stakeholders for rewriting the narrative, especially as the state was hitherto not considered a rice producing state.
