Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun) led his campaign team into his ancestral home, receiving a rosy and triumphant welcome as he was greeted to a red carpet reception with a tumultuous crowd.

In company of all the past three civilian Governors in the state, Ahmad Sani Yarima, Mahmuda Aliyu Shinkafi and Abdulazeez Yari Abubakar, the Governor could not hide his admiration and satisfaction.

All the Governors spoke of the need to rally around the candidature of Governor Matawalle under the flag of APC, the only known political party to the people of Zamfara state

At the Palace of Sarkin Kayan Maradun, Alhaji Garba Mohammed Tambari, Governor Matawalle denied himself the privilege to speak. He said that, at home, his Emir is the right person to speak for him as his father.

The Emir said he was elated to receive the Campaign team in his Palace, describing it as the best omen for the politics of Zamfara State where all the past Governors and their supporters are now speaking with one voice.

He prayed that the coming together of the powerful politicians in the state will be a stepping stone to a lasting peace in the state. He then announced the conferment of traditional titles to three persons in the campaign team.

Those conferred with titles include the former Governor Ahmad Sani Yarima as Talban Maradun, Mahmuda Aliyu Shinkafi as Danjekan Maradun and Abdilazeez Yari Abubakar as the Janjunan Maradun.

Meanwhile, in a statement, leader of Good Governance Forum in Nigeria, Muhammed Abdullahi urged the politicians in the state to strictly shun politics of bitterness in the state.

While urging the eligible voters to give their massive support to the Matawalle’s administration going by his performances in the state.
