Tambuwal’s Premier Hospital Will Be Delivered as Schedule – Contractor

The Contracting firm handling the Construction of Premier Hospital Tambuwal, SBMC Construction has assured the government of timely completion of the projects at the designated period.

Quantity Surveyor of the firm, QS Ayodele Adeosun, made the assurance when members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists Sokoto State Council took a tour to inspect completed and ongoing projects in Tambuwal and Kebbe local government areas of the state.

Adeosun also noted that the hospital project has reached 70% completion.

He however reaffirmed the readiness of the firm to deliver a quality job which he said will be for the benefits of the state and its neighbouring states.

Also speaking, the Director of works, Tambuwal local government, Mainasara Abubakar Kilgori, described some of the projects executed by the Aminu Waziri Tambuwal led administration as unprecedented in the history of the local government since the return of Democratic government in 1999.

Kilgori commended Governor Tambuwal and the chairman of the Council for delivering a quality dividends of democracy to the people across 23 local governments areas of the State.

Speaking on the importance of some of the projects, he described the new Premier Hospital when completed to serve the interest of not only the eighth local government making up of the senatorial district but also the neighboring Kebbi State.

Some of the other projects visited by the members of the press in the state include expansion of administrative blocks at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, and a completed 60 KW Solar PV mini Grid.

Others include the newly upgraded General Hospital Tambuwal, Modern Abattoir, about 30 Kilometers Township roads with some of them already completed, blocks of classrooms in almost all the Public Primary and Secondary Schools.

It also includes construction of two newly established modern secondary schools in both Tambuwal and Dogondaji towns, rehabilitation and reconstruction of the palace of district head of Kebbe town, Construction of new Divisional Police station Kebbe among other developmental projects.

Speaking while addressing newsmen, the Vice chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) in the state, Abbas Tukur, commended the state government for living up to the expectations of the people of the two local governments in terms of project delivery.

He however calls on the state government especially the relevant ministries to ensure funds are always made available for the contractors handling different projects in the area for timely completion of all the ongoing projects.

While expressing satisfaction on the quality of jobs being executed by the contractors, he appealed to them to ensure quality is sustained in the delivery of the projects.
