A socioeconomic group under the aegis of Arewa Solidarity Group (ASG), has commended the Kwara state Government over free surgical and medical interventions in the state.
The group said, the free medical interventions by the state is a testament to the AbdulRasaq led administration commitment to the ordinary people of the state.
The leader of the group Isa Ahmed, while addressing a press conference in Kaduna on Wednesday morning, explained that so far, over 6,000 Kwarans, young and old have benefitted from the free medical outreach since 2020.
“As stakeholders and socioeconomic group, our survey has indicated that the Kwara state government is doing excellently well in the health sector,” Ahmed said while addressing the press.
The group however noted that the state government can still do better in the health sector following it importance to the people.
“Providing social health protection and equal access to quality health care has significant positive effects on individual and public health, economic growth and development. The health sector is also a major employment sector, with important potential in job creation. These being the reason why other Governors must emulate Gov. AbdulRasaq’s example in the health sector,” the group emphasised.
Though, the Governor of Kwara state has reiterated his commitment towards improving the health sector within the state’s resources.
