The embattled speaker of the Plateau Ayuba Abok, on Monday morning gained access into the chambers of the legislature, and held sitting in spite of the heavy security presence staged at the entrance of the Assembly complex.
However, a drama ensued, due to a clash between supporters of Mr. Abok and some persons believed to have been sponsored to disrupt the sitting; the incident shattered some glasses of the building.
Security operatives were able to avoid possible blood sheed as guns shots were fired in the air to despatch the mob.
The Abok supporters have remained at the entrance of the Assembly complex.
Meanwhile, the sitting is still ongoing.
