More details have emerged from the arrest of former Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, and his wife Beatrice, in the United Kingdom over alleged human trafficking for organ harvesting.
The Ekweremadus reportedly appeared at Uxbridge Magistrate Court on Thursday, June 23, 2022, and were denied bail.
She added that the alleged victim is a homeless 15 year old boy, Ukpo Nwamini David, who resided in Lagos. He was allegedly taken to the U.K. under the pretense that he is 21 years old, by the serving senator and his wife before they were arrested.
The case has been adjourned to July 7th, while the duo remain in custody of British authorities.
