2023: Our Support For Tinubu Not Based On Sentiments – Yoruba Northern Community

Yoruba extraction in the north under the aegies of Northern Yoruba Agenda for Tinubu 2023 ( NOYAT ), has disclosed that its support for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC’s) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not based on tribal sentiments.

The group explained that its support for Tinubu was based on his political anticedents, and being the best candidate in the present political dispensation to steer the affairs of the nation come 2023.

NOYAT made this known in a statement jointly signed by its National Coordinator, Hon. Rasheed Adekeye and the National Organizing Secretary, Ibrahim Abayomi Oladejo on Sunday.

According to the duo, mechanism has been put in motion to mobilize citizens across the 19 northern states to support and vote Tinubu-Shettima as the nation approaches her general elections in 2023.

In the statement, the group further explained that: ” we are working tirelessly to ensuring that APC emerged victorious in the coming general elections.

The group however said that the present economic situation and the prevalent insecurity in the country were products of the 16 years administration of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

“We therefore appeal to Nigerians, who will eventually be the direct beneficiaries of good governance under Tinubu-Shettima presidency to see beyond the sentiments of religion and tribe.

” We need to jettison the politics of ethnic and religious sentiments and imbibe the core value of competence and service delivery in political offices,” NOYAT tasked Nigerians
