Abdulfatai Abdulsalami, Sokoto
Former Deputy Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto has won Sokoto All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary.
Sokoto, who was the party’s 2019 governorship flag bearer, scored 1080 votes to clinch the party’s ticket.
The immediate past and pioneer Executive Secretary Police Trust Fund defeated five other contestants.
They include Senator Ibrahim Abdullahi Gobir, 36; Umar Abubakar Gada, 0; Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman, 16; Amb. Farouk Malami Yabo, 27 and Abubakar Abdullahi Gumbi, 01 respectively with 23 invalid votes.
