England international Jude Bellingham has seen a massive boost to his Instagram account following confirmation of his move to Real Madrid.

Betting site KingCasinoBonus.uk analysed the player’s Instagram following between the 1st and 27th June, to see just much impact the move to Real Madrid has had on his online social standing.

On the 1st of June, Bellingham was reported to have 9.93 million followers, and this has since jumped to a staggering 12.8 million followers as of June 27th, following confirmation of his move by Real Madrid in an Instagram post – an increase of 2.87 million followers in just under a month.

On June 13th, the day before the announcement was confirmed, Bellingham had 10.7 million Instagram followers and by the 15th of June, 2023, this had jumped to 11.3 million – an increase of approximately 613,800 new followers on the platform.

With his more popular status, Jude Bellingham could now charge between £36,100 to £43,300 for one sponsored post on the platform, if he is approached by any brands.

Ionut Marin, CEO of KingCasinoBonus.uk, commented:

“In the cases of marquee transfers by internationally renowned clubs, it’s always interesting to see just how much this affects a player’s online popularity.

“We have recently observed the effect of Messi’s move to MLS team Inter Miami, which saw their Instagram account increase by around six million new followers.

“Here we see the opposite effect, with Real Madrid’s huge 141 million following directing a massive boost to a player who is comparatively less well known.

“With an over 20% increase in followers over the last month, this highlights just how important this transfer could be for the young Englishman, who must ensure he seizes the opportunity with both hands.

“He will face stiff competition for a starting spot in midfield from other young and exciting players such as Camavinga, Tchouaméni, and Valverde, not to mention the more experienced Kroos and Modrić.”
