After weeks of negotiations, Napoli are reportedly willing to offer Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen a bumper contract renewal that will see him earn €7million yearly salary with two years extension, MoneyCentral reports.

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis is offering the Nigerian the lucrative contract to beat off interest from PSGm Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and other potential clubs from snatching the highly-valued attacker away from Italy.

According to Italian media Gazzetta dello Sport, the new offer surpasses Osimhen’s salary of €4.5 million per year that he currently earns as Napoli are not willing to let go of their best player whose contract expires in the summer of 2025.

“Napoli wants a constructive dialogue and has made itself available to modify the existing agreement,” Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

“De Laurentiis has proposed a significant increase in salary, from €4.5 million to €7 million, extending the deadline from 2025 to 2027.

“At the same time, the club would lower its claims, by inserting a release clause between €100 and €120 million.

“In this way, the management would have the opportunity to satisfy Napoli coach Rudi Garcia, who would like not to touch too much the squad that won the title, especially if we are talking about the undisputed driver of a dream season.”

The Nigerian superstar has lit up Serie A with Napoli since his move from Lille in 2020.

Osimhen bagged 26 goals and four assists in 32 Italian top-flight outings last season, standing out as Napoli’s best-performing player by average match rating, as well as Serie A’s best-performer overall.

The Super Eagles star averaged a very impressive and threatening 4.2 attempts at goal per 90 – again the highest number of any player in Serie A.

The Nigerian goal poacher has been praised by members of the media and fans for his excellent form last season.
