According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Villarreal have set a price of €40m for Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze, a figure that exceed AC Milan’s budget.
Although the arrival of the Nigerian winger could provide a significant boost to the Italian team, his board seems unwilling to make such a large investment at the moment.
The Rossoneri are on the lookout for a new right winger and the name of the 24-year-old is high on their agenda.
Reports in Italy claim that Milan have already spoken to the player’s agent.
Chukwueze’s price tag is believed to be in the region of €25m and his contract with the Yellow Submarine expires in June 2024.
The situation highlights the financial difficulties some clubs are facing, especially compared to the huge sums of money involved in the Premier League. The teams in the English league seem to have a greater purchasing power and do not hesitate to shell out large sums of money for talented players and the truth is that there are clubs willing to negotiate for the Nigerian.

It is important to note that Chukwueze has shown his quality at Villarreal, being a key player in recent seasons. His technical skills, speed and ability to unbalance make him a coveted player on the transfer market.
However, it seems that Milan will have to look for alternatives to reinforce their team in other positions or with players that fit their current budget.
