The battle for who becomes the champion of Italian Serie A this season enters a critical stage as only two points divide AC Milan and Inter Milan, but Simone Inzaghi’s men have a game in hand. So, who will win the title this season?
Both sides won over the weekend. Inter Milan got the better of José Mourinho’s Roma on Saturday, while AC Milansealed a 2-1 win at Lazio thanks to a late goal from Sandro Tonali on Sunday night.
Inter Milan will play their game in hand on Wednesday away at Bologna and if they win, they wil climb to the top of the table with a one-point lead over their city rivals and just four games remaining.
The Nerazzurri seem to have an easier fixture list with games against Udinese (away), Empoli (home), Cagliari (away) and Sampdoria (home) remaining, plus the Coppa Italia Final against Juventus on May 11, between games against Empoli and Cagliari.
The Rossoneri will host Fiorentina next weekend, then travel to Verona and end the season with a home game against Atalanta and a meeting with Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium. Inter seem slightly favourite, but predictions have been changing from week to week in Serie A this season and now there is no more room for mistakes.
