Peter Obi, the vice-presidential candidate of the main opposition PDP in the last presidential election has joined the Labour Party.
Obi, who announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) two days ago, made the disclosure via his Twitter handle.
The former governor of Anambra state was screened to participate in the PDP presidential primary scheduled for May 28 but made a sudden decision to dump the party on Wednesday.
Therefore, I have chosen a route that I consider to be in line with our aspirations and my mantra of taking the country from consumption to production; and that is the Labour Party which is synonymous with the people, workers, development, production, securing
