31-year Old Man Clubs Father to Death in Adamawa

Adamawa State Police Command has arrested 31-year old Ignatius Nicodemus accused of killing his father in a fight. The incident occurred in Song Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

Nicodemus was said to have admitted killing his father. Visibly shaken on realising the effect of his action, Nicodemus on parade told newsmen at the police command that: “My father always attacks me; he normally closes the door between 8-9:pm and I am never pleased with that.”

According to him, his father also did not allow him to sleep, “he always disturbed me with touch light at night, I killed him out of frustration,” he stated.

DSP Suleiman Yahaha Ngoroje, the police spokesman, disclosed that the Police has designed a strategy to fight crime as Nicodemus awaits his trial.

He said investigation has shown that Nicodemus Ignatius beat his father to death.

According to the police, the accused locked both his parents inside the room, “the father, being afraid of the son burning them in the house, struggled to break the door.

“It was immediately the son hit the father with a stick on the head and all over that the father died,” Ngoroje recounted.

The police image marker added that the command is gathering human and material evidence so that he could be charged to court.

“The commissioner of police (CP) Barde Mohammad is doing everything possible to reduce the rate of crime in the state. We are calling on good people in the state to assist the Police with useful information and not to take laws into their own hands,” he said.
