A group under the aegies of Rube Fulbe Global Rights and Development Initiative has expressed displeasure over the manhandled of its members by the security men.

The group said, it was sadden to see its members been handled in such a manner in a recent viral video been molested and tagged to be bandits.

Recall that some fulani men were arrested by men of the security in a viral video recently with the allegation that the men were bandits.

The leader of the group, Halima Usman who addressed newsmen in Kaduna at the weekend said, the leadership of the group were concerned about the development.

“We are here to show our concern in respect to the incident that happened two weeks ago in Kakura Millennium City; Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna state where some Fulanis were mistaken to be bandits while they are not,” she said.

According to Halima, the said people ( Fulanis ) were been thrown into a van like animals by the security personnels.

Halima who is the President of the group therefore call on both the Federal Government and State Government to ensuring that justice prevail, just as she said that the accussed people were treated unfairly.

While explaining she said: “this is not the first time such incident has happened, it has been on for a while, as most times you see vigilantes attacking our men and rustling away their cows and when they try to get back their rustled cows, they will be declared as bandits “.

Halima commended the Kaduna State Government for its quick response to the issue, while also saying, though, their men have sustained injuries while the corpses of the three who were killed during the attack have been released to them and have been buried accordingly.

The group also advised that the family of the deceased people and the injured persons be paid compensation.

” The life of Fulanis are no longer secured in the country any longer”, the leader of the group said.
