Kaduna State Students’ Union (KADSSU), Kaduna State University Chapter, has threatened to drag Sahara Reporters to court over alleged defamation of character by the news medium.

Abubakar Abdullahi who is the president of the union debunked a publication of the said medium, quoting that the union had described the gubernatorial candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Uba Sani as the enemy of the students.

According to the disclaimers’ notice signed by the union’s president and made available to our reporter at the weekend, noted that the Sahara Reporters’ publication was an act of defamation of character and trying to distort the image of the association.

In the disclaimer’s notice, the union stated that the publication was false, adding that there was no such statement made by its president or any of the union’s representatives anywhere before now.

“Therefore, any publication purporting such exists only in the imagination of the mischief-makers circulating it. “The said publication was concocted by some perpetrators to tarnish the image of the union and to blackmail the students of Kaduna State University, and the entire Kaduna state students in winning cheap political points,” the notice stated.

The union therefore urged the public to disregard the publication.
