Police Seize a Dupe Pretending to Be Ghost In Adamawa State

A 59 years old man has been arrested by the Adamawa State Police Command for allegedly defrauding members of the public, by pretending to be a ghost.

The suspect, Muhammad Abubakar (aka), Malam Sabo, who was arrested on the 5th February, 2024, was said to be a habitual fraudster who specializes in defrauding members of the public in a disguised manner.

The spokesperson of the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, confirmed the arrest, as he noted that the suspect normally hides his identity while pretending to be a ghost talking to his victims in different voices.

The suspect at times changes tone of his voice to that of woman or child’s to dupe his victims, saying he recently tricked and duped one Abba Bale of Demsawo out of the sum of three Hundred thousand naira (N300,000).
