The Adamawa State High Court of Justice has fixed 6th November, 2023, for the arraignment of the suspended Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Barr. Hudu Ari Yunusa.

Bar Hudu the suspended REC will be arraigned on count charges bordering on announcement of false electoral result, violating the oath of neutrality, breach of duty, disorderly conduct at election, inciting disturbance and impersonating a public servant.

The former REC was to be arraigned on the 27th July, 2023 for him to face trial but it failed as a result of which the court presided by Justice Benjamin Manji Lawan, adjourned the case for the 3rd time.

Justice Manji adjourned the matter to the 23rd October, 2023 to enable the prosecutors to arraign the suspended INEC officer for alleged electoral offences.

It was gathered that the arraignment could not be held on the 23rd October, 2023 as earlier adjourned due to the inability of the court to sit.
