We’re Not Part of Proposed Amalgamated Group Protest, APC Chieftain Declares

A Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Engr. Kailani Muhammad has condemned the proposed protest of the APC amalgamated groups.

Muhammad who is the Director-General, Confederation of APC support groups, frowned at the planned protest scheduled for 24th of November, 2023 describing it as an attempt to distract the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is already working towards keeping to his campaign promises.

While speaking during a press conference in Kaduna recently, the Chieftain alleged that some members of the amalgamated groups belong to the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).

“We condemn the planned protest in its totality, and we urge our members not to follow them blindly, there are some of the amalgamated members who are NLC members,” Muhammad averred.

He added that: “I was one time the Director General of the group, but because of the problems they are facing and I don’t want to stain my image, myself and all the Directors that are sincere now migrated from amalgamated to confederation of All APC support groups.

“Amalgamated group was supposed to be a structure of APC, but it was dissolved last week, with the aim to conduct another election, but some people are trying to hijack that process, and for us in confederation, we have come to stay because we are independent. As we speak now, we have over 180 thousand groups that are already with us. For clarity’s sake, only 2000 support groups are left with the Amalgamated.”

The Director-General therefore called on all the loyal party supporters to shun the planned protest, this is just as he explained that President Tinubu and Secretary to the Federal Government (SGF) are working towards seeing that all the support groups are giving appointments, so that they will key in properly to assist the government to deliver on his campaign promises.

Meanwhile the Chieftain has also called on Nigerians to support the Tinubu led administration in its quest to reposition the country.

“Tinubu has done very well in these few months, he was in Germany and investors are already in Nigeria, likewise India. Saudi Arabia is also willing to come and invest in Nigeria,” Muhammad emphasized.
